The Obesity Epidemic Of The United States Essay - 1045 Words

Campaign to end obesity Obesity continues to be a problem in the United States. With obesity rates on the rise something must be done to prevent this massive issue. Seventeen percent of children and adolescents about 12.5 million are obese (Diet). Obesity is the result of a rise in fat that accumulated over time due to the lack of exercise and having a calorie surplus due to unhealthy food. An adult with a BMI (body mass index) higher than 30% is considered to be obese (Obesity). There isn’t a direct focus on obesity, because people don’t think it’s an important issue. To ensure a better future, solution is needed now. The solution to ending the obesity epidemic by encouraging a healthier lifestyle on children at young ages, improving nutrition at schools and restaurants, as well as providing more time and space for citizens to get physically active. The best way to begin a change in health in America is to start with encouraging a healthy lifestyle for the younger generation. The United States has one of the largest percentiles of overweight/obese children in the world. The public clearly knows this, but is failing to take action. The parents are responsible for the future of their kids; they should take action early in securing a healthy future for them. This can be done requiring all students in school to be part of some sort of sport in school or outside; like a recreational league. Answer: Introducation: Reading the topic Toyotas approach to quality managements, I found that the Toyota brand is car manufacture and company uses the approach of total quality management for fulfilling the customers needs, for the customer satisfaction related to the quality in the brand (Dale, 2015). The company uses 2 principles of managing the equality, one is quality is present at each and every stage and second is quality improvement is continuous process (Wang, Chen Chen, 2012). Company believes in maintain the standardization in the quality of the product and ensure that proper standard is maintained; this helps the company to work in a stable condition and helps in identifying the problems at the real time. So that company can resolve those problems. The company states that quality is because of the flexibility and teamwork. This quality management helps in establishing relationship with the customers. This shows how quality management is helpful for the business (Toyota, 2017). After Reading the journal-The Effects of Total Quality Management Practices on Performance and the Reasons of and the Barriers to TQM Practices in Turkey, I learnt how total quality management is related with the performance (Baird, Jia Hu, Reeve, 2011). This journal includes the methodology and conducted the factor analysis and regression analysis. The journal includes positive, negative aspects, which include the reason and difficulties faced by Turkey firm. The journal shows a hypothetical case in which they have taken a firm of turkey on which they have done research of implementation of total quality management after implementing it. It shows the tools and techniques help in the performance of the firm. It includes certain barriers of the TQM such as lack of proper training and development, poor planning, and lack involvement of top management (Sadikogly Olcay, 2014). After reading the conversation I found that TQM principles plays a vital role in the personal development such as:- Initial standard; in organization setting initial standard is first to do similarly in ones life there is need to set an initial standard such as losing weight and now there is a need of meeting the standards.
